Tupaia was a legendary Polynesian navigator who guided Captain James Cook across the Pacific using only the stars, waves, and a deep knowledge of nature. Like our namesake, we help navigate with precision - no matter what the environment.
Nadav Lavi
Co-Founder & CEO
Nadav is a seasoned R&D leader with 20+ years of experience in telecommunications and automotive technology. Before founding Tupaia, he led wireless research at General Motors and held senior roles at Alvarion.
He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) from the Technion and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University. At Tupaia, he is driving the mission to make precision positioning universally accessible — at scale, on any device.
Kobi Scheim
Co-Founder & CTO
Kobi brings over 25 years of deep expertise in mobile communications and positioning. At GM Research, he advanced wireless and 5G automotive innovation.He holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, focused on CDMA signal detection and GPS tracking. At Tupaia, he is leading the development of scalable, cloud-native algorithms that bring centimeter-level accuracy to the mass market.

Zohar Zisapel
(1948–2023)
A pioneer of Israeli high-tech, Zohar co-founded the RAD Group and was a prominent investor in automotive and cybersecurity ventures. He held a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technion and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University. His vision and leadership helped shape Tupaia.
